## Overview

### Key benefits of Project Timeline

\* Eliminates installation friction by running entirely in a web browser, with no setup required to begin planning.
\* Built-in AI assistant edits schedules from plain-English instructions, including shifting tasks, assigning resources, setting allocation percentages, and generating draft project plans, with every change undoable.
\* Automatic critical path highlighting and cascading task dependencies keep schedule logic intact when dates change.
\* Baseline locking with ghost bars and a day-delta column makes schedule drift visible at a glance, supporting proactive schedule management.
\* Working calendars that skip weekends, public holidays, and custom days off ensure task dates reflect actual working capacity.
\* Resource utilisation chart with over-allocation warnings and variable allocation across task durations surfaces capacity conflicts before they affect delivery.
\* Reusable company resource profiles (people, roles, day rates) eliminate re-entering team data across multiple projects.
\* Cost tracking aggregates per-task, per-resource, and whole-project totals with regional currency support, giving financial visibility within the scheduling tool.
\* SVG, PNG, and PDF exports copy to the clipboard at the moment of download for direct pasting into PowerPoint, Google Slides, or Keynote.
\* Project sharing via email invite extends Pro-level access to all collaborators when shared from a Pro account, removing per-seat upgrade barriers.
\* Custom color palettes saved to a user profile support consistent visual branding across exported project visuals.
\* Mobile browser support (beta) extends access to planning and review tasks beyond the desktop without a dedicated app.
