## Overview

### Key benefits of Care Roster

The right number, on the first try, at the worst hour. A care team's contact list fails in a specific way: it is fine at a desk on Tuesday and wrong on a phone at 2am Saturday. Care Roster is built around that second moment, with search that keeps up as you type, tap to call, and an on-call page that is correct without anyone having remembered to update it.

Coverage that does not depend on one person's memory. Rotations advance on their own and the on-call view derives who is covering from the schedule rather than from a field somebody edits. When the coordinator is on holiday, nothing quietly stops being true.

A directory that reports its own decay. Verification stamps and overdue reports turn accuracy into something visible and assignable instead of a task nobody owns. Agencies consistently underestimate this: entering several hundred numbers is a week of work, and keeping them right is the next five years.

Everyone can have it, because it costs nothing to add them. One flat price covers unlimited users at every role, so putting the entire night shift and every field nurse on the viewer role is free. A tool only the office has is a tool the field will keep working around.

Staff privacy without losing reachability. Personal mobiles can be hidden from viewers while remaining available to the people who genuinely need them, and the server withholds them rather than hiding them in the interface, so the protection is real rather than cosmetic.

Adoption without a project plan. Nothing to install, a free 45-day trial with every feature and no credit card, and an import that previews every row before writing anything. Agencies already on Microsoft 365 can populate staff records straight from Entra instead of retyping them, including the accounts that have no mailbox.

A narrow tool, on purpose. It does not try to be the electronic medical record, the scheduler or the phone system. It holds the operational contacts and coverage your team runs on, which is why it can stay simple enough that a nurse uses it correctly the first time, without training, in a patient's driveway.

## About the vendor

- **Company**: MortonApps, LLC

## Commercial Context

- **Starting Price**: USD 1,200.00
- **Pricing model**: Flat Rate (Free Trial)
- **Pricing Details**: One flat rate for your agency's size.

Care Roster is $1,200 a year for an agency under 150 staff, and $2,400 a year at 150 and over. Monthly billing is available at $120 and $240. The annual price is ten months of the monthly rate, so paying yearly saves 2 months. It is never a per-user price, there is no setup fee, and no feature is held back for a higher package.

Launch pricing

Agencies that subscribe through December 31, 2026 pay $600 a year or $60 a month under 150 staff, and $1,200 a year or $120 a month at 150 and over. That rate is locked for life. The regular prices take effect for agencies that subscribe after that date.

What "unlimited users" means here

Three roles are included, with no limit on how many people hold each one. Administrators configure the workspace and manage users. Editors add and update records. Viewers search, call, follow escalation paths and print sheets without being able to change anything. Because seats cost nothing, agencies put the whole team on it, including per diem and night staff. A directory only the office can reach is a directory the field will work around.

Emergency alerts are included

5,000 texts a year on the under-150 plan and 20,000 on the 150+ plan. Each recipient counts as one text and a longer message counts as more than one per person, so 5,000 is roughly 50 all-staff alerts a year for a 100-person agency and 20,000 is roughly 200. A live counter shows the exact total before you send and what it leaves in your allowance. Trials include 25 free texts. Agencies that need more than the included allowance should talk to us. As a guide, the channel is sized for up to 10 alerts per staff member per month.

This is emergency mass notification, not a messaging app, and it is compliant by construction. Work numbers are opted in automatically because they belong to the agency. Personal numbers require that person's own opt-in and it is never a condition of employment. The sender picks work, personal or both for each message. Your agency's name is in every message and cannot be removed, so an unexpected 6 a.m. text is credible. STOP is honored automatically, immediately and system-wide.

The free trial

Every new account gets 45 days with every feature turned on and no credit card required. That is long enough to import a real contact list, build your on-call rotations, and print an emergency sheet for a real shift before deciding anything.

Billing

Payments are processed by Lemon Squeezy as merchant of record, which holds the card details and handles sales tax. Subscriptions renew automatically at the published price for the term chosen until canceled. You can change your card, switch between monthly and annual, or cancel at any time from Settings, and plan changes are prorated.

If you stop paying

Nothing is deleted and you are never locked out of your own data. A lapsed subscription turns the account read-only: administrators can still sign in, view every record, and export everything to CSV. Reactivate whenever you like and pick up where you left off.
- **Target Audience**: Self Employed, 2–10, 11–50, 51–200, 201–500, 501–1,000, 1,001–5,000, 5,001–10,000, 10,000+

## Reviews

### "Review from a System Tech" — 4.0/5

> **Eren** | *9 September 2026* | Medical Practice | Recommendation rating: 10.0/10
>
> **Pros**: I really appreciate how user-friendly the structure is. There are plenty of similar apps out there, but this is by far the easiest one I've come across. Staff have been able to pick it up and start using it right away.

Another standout feature is how the app combines two of our needs into one, a staff directory and an on-call/escalation system. This happens with no loss of features from the previous apps.
>
> **Cons**: The admin view on iPhone feels a bit clunky. I don't typically manage the system from my iPhone, but it would be a helpful improvement. Along those same lines, a full native iOS app would be a welcome addition.
>
> Overall, our experience with Care Roster has been excellent. Staff across the board have responded well to it, and as the system technician, I've also been impressed with how smoothly it integrated with our existing systems. Meaning the tickets I've gotten about this app have been minimal.

Nothing to install; it runs in any current browser on desktop, tablet and phone.\n\nDirectory model\n\nThree record types rather than one flat list. A person carries name, role, department, work mobile, desk line, email, manager and an internal or external marker. An organization is a company you call and holds a main line, a fax, an after-hours line and any number of named contacts beneath it. A key number is a line owned by no individual, such as an answering service or a 24-hour dispatch, optionally linked to the organization behind it. Categories, tags and after-hours flags apply across all three, and one search covers every record.\n\nStaff also star their own favorites, administrators pin agency-wide Quick Access numbers to the dashboard, and recently viewed records stay one click away.\n\nOn-call and escalation\n\nRotations are defined once per role and cycle automatically, so the on-call view always resolves the current holder, their direct number and the next handoff without anyone editing a schedule. Coverage overrides record a swap without rebuilding the rotation, and a month calendar shows the cycle color-coded by person with handoff days marked.\n\nEscalation paths define an ordered call list per situation. A step is a group rather than an individual, so several people can be called simultaneously and the path advances only when nobody in that step answers. Steps reference a contact record or a rotation rather than a copied number, so they resolve to whoever is genuinely covering and cannot go stale. Steps carry optional written instructions and wait times.\n\nReporting and print\n\nBuilt-in sheets cover the full directory, on-call and after-hours coverage, an on-call schedule across any date range, an emergency reference, internal staff only, and external contacts only, plus category reports generated from your organization categories. Each prints cleanly and exports to CSV.\n\nMessaging\n\nOne operational text can go to every internal staff member for a closure, weather delay or coverage change. The sender chooses work mobile, personal mobile or both, reviews the recipient list, and sees the exact message count and cost before sending. Personal numbers are reachable only where that person opted in, and stop replies are honored automatically.\n\nIntegrations\n\nMicrosoft 365 and Entra: directory sync from selected security groups or the whole tenant, including accounts with no mailbox. A preview shows every addition, change and removal before commit, a nightly job keeps it current, and only records the sync created are ever modified, so hand-entered records are untouched. The connection is one-way and read-only against Microsoft Graph. Staff can sign in with their Microsoft account, and administrators map Entra security groups to application roles.\n\nGuided CSV import with a downloadable template, column mapping and a row-level preview, accepting up to 5,000 data rows or 4 MB per file. Full CSV export anytime. Optional custom domain: enter a domain in Settings, add the records it returns, and the certificate issues and renews automatically.\n\nSecurity\n\nRole-based access with administrator, editor and viewer. Personal mobile numbers, and optionally work mobiles, can be hidden from viewers with per-department overrides; masking is applied server-side, so withheld numbers never reach the browser. Every record carries a created-by and last-changed-by trail, and administrators see a running activity feed. Deactivating a user revokes their live sessions and voids any outstanding password links in the same action.\n\nEach agency's data is isolated to its own workspace, every query scoped to it, on Cloudflare's network. The product holds no patient records and no field capable of storing one, so no business associate agreement is required. A lapsed subscription becomes read-only rather than locked: records stay viewable and exportable, and nothing is deleted.","image":"https://gdm-catalog-fmapi-prod.imgix.net/ProductScreenshot/286bd0cd-d068-487e-a838-09130220224c.png","url":"https://www.getapp.com.au/software/2103643/care-roster","@type":"SoftwareApplication","@id":"https://www.getapp.com.au/software/2103643/care-roster#software","applicationCategory":"BusinessApplication","publisher":{"@id":"https://www.getapp.com.au/#organization"},"aggregateRating":{"@type":"AggregateRating","bestRating":5,"ratingCount":1,"ratingValue":4.0},"offers":{"price":"1200","@type":"Offer","priceCurrency":"USD"},"operatingSystem":"Cloud"},{"@type":"BreadcrumbList","itemListElement":[{"name":"Home","position":1,"item":"/","@type":"ListItem"},{"name":"Contact Management Software","position":2,"item":"/directory/337/contact-management/software","@type":"ListItem"},{"name":"Care Roster","position":3,"item":"/software/2103643/care-roster","@type":"ListItem"}],"@id":"https://www.getapp.com.au/software/2103643/care-roster#breadcrumblist"}]}
