Liferay DXP

I like the platform structure which is Enterprise. Its extensibility with modules and plug-ins. His possibility to configure login with Google, Facebook and lots other ID Management system.

I am sorry that the part of the community (open source software) has decreased over time and there is less and less support outside the legacy line

Liferay's main drawback lies in its complexity and steep learning curve, hindering quick implementation and customization for non-technical users. In current company we are using liferay DXP 7.1 for banking website development. My company choose liferay because the only platform which provide Total web CMS base development . My part in liferay is theme development and custom portlet development as per the company guidelines .

Liferay provide full control of CMS which user friendly for customer and also high in security .We have develop many big company site in liferay because this is the only CMS platform till date which have all the custom modules .

The only problem in liferay is licence cost is too high compared to other product in market. also some time support is delay. support Community is very less so that's why i have faced some problem regarding coding.

This platform is the perfect solution when you need a responsive mobile design of your website or an app with the same contents.
It's really easy to transform your current website to a perfect mobile version by using the already integrated features in the platform.
Another good point is that you can manage your resources like images and videos from the same CMS without the need of having to rely on another third-party client.
Being an open-source tool allows you to customise it to your convenience and you are not limited like it can happen with other commercial options.
Compared to other solutions, the cost of its implementation is relatively low.

One of the major cons of Liferay is that there is no documentation available. It's true that because it's open source you can find a lot of information from communities.
Regarding the portal security, there is room for improvement. Especially because you need to work with droplets, which are sometimes not easy to develop and you can end up developing something insecure.
