About Keynote
Keynote is a presentation software that allows users to create, edit, and manage multimedia presentations. It includes a wide range of graphics and editing tools that enables users to add charts, edit pictures, and integrate cinematic effects into slides. Users can also create customized slides using background photos and predefined customizable themes.
Keynote allows teams to embed animated objects and live video feeds into slides. It offers various transition options such as textures, color gradients, and photos. The built-in collaboration feature allows teams to work on projects together in real-time and share ideas and comments via a unified platform. Other features include custom captions and titles, math equations, reading mode, image gallery, presentation export, and more.
Keynote includes a built-in rehearse mode that displays notes and slides in one view, allowing users to practice presentation and speaking skills. Users can also play videos in slides, modify position, size, and rotation, and fade between slides to engage with the audience.

There's no alternative if you own a Mac. It's not receiving annual updates and it has started to look old, but I love it and use it every month.
Pros
How user-friendly it is. Super easy to add images and details, align them, and create various slides. Creating visuals is not my strength and I use Keynote to create posters too. I started using Canva recently but I still feel more comfortable with Keynote.
Cons
It would be great if it had more templates and more styles. I've purchased some PowerPoint template and it works ok with Keynote, but I'd rather have access to more default templates when creating a new file.

I did a light-hearted presentation for my Rotary club a while back that really exemplifies the power of Keynote. I used just about every feature the program has to create a presentation that looked more like a custom video than something from a presentation program. When finished, I had video producers asking me what program I used. I loved seeing their expression when I said 'Keynote!". :-)
Pros
Keynote lets me design and create with a freedom and quality of product that is hard to match. As a graphic designer, I'm used to having control over all things and using programs that don't think for me. Yet, if you want a beautiful presentation program with high-end animation capabilities, you'll love Keynote too.
Cons
My files get pretty large in size and occasionally that can slow processing.

If you don't have any other option, then this is pretty good. But if you can afford a better presentation software, then it's a no-brainer. Competitors have larger feature sets and more usable UIs.
Pros
The UI is minimal and clean, it has good export/import funciontalities. It's relatively easy to operate.
Cons
Templates are not updated, they need to be versioned, which leads to mismateches in styles of presentations within the company. The editor UI is sometimes difficult to use.

Even when the main use of this software is to create slideshows, if you master it enough , it can become your main graphic design tool, specially if you need to make graphics for your live streaming or create a small intro for your show (my case).
If you're a mac user, switch to Keynote. It has more integration to other apps and between devices (you can control your slideshows on a mac using your iPhone app, either using bluetooth or Wifi. That features is really cool.
Pros
The interface is easier to understand that powerpoint, and has a lot of more features. It's important to clarify that this is an Apple product, available on Macs, iPhones and iPads. There's an option to access Keynote from a web browser on a PC once you setup an iCloud account, so you can create / modify files from the web, but it will depend of your browser and internet connection.
Cons
It's Mac / iOS only, doesn't have a PC app. A desktop app for PC integrated to an iCloud account would be great to attract PC users

Keynote - great for pastors!

On the whole, it's been helpful, but I definitely prefer both PowerPoint and Slides over Keynote.
On the whole, it's been helpful, but I definitely prefer both PowerPoint and Slides over Keynote.
Pros
I love the aesthetically pleasing templates that Keynote offers you when choosing to create a presentation! Of all the options, Keynote definitely looks the best.
Cons
I don't like the need to (apparently) constantly update the app on my laptop. One time, I failed to update Keynote for a long period of time (my fault, I admit), but it really screwed up my ability to access older presentations.
