It was necessary for me to generate a virtual presence in internet and that required generating some mp4s. Moviemaker provided the tool with which to do that. It was a good starting point into this weird world of digital existence!!
Pros
It is simple to use. Of course there are new concepts we have to incorporate into our mental life but under the pressure of having to produce a video those concepts are assimilated nonetheless. As with everything in the brain: it learns under pressure.
Cons
There were no tools to generate a continuity in the music throughtout the extent of the video when you pieced other media into the mix. There was also a glitch in the program at the moment of wanting to "save" and one had to be very careful not to fall into the glitch.
