Although I am now an Adobe AE and Premier user, I say using iMovies to make transitions and videos with little text, I will always recommend it and will never stop using it.
Pros
I recommend it 100% for those who have no idea about editing and want to create content without any experience. Thanks to iMovie, I got really fond of editing, and when it helped me a lot to create quick projects for class. I think it's a very easy to use program and I like that you don't need to learn how to use it beforehand. In both formats (iphone/ipad or imac), it is super useful, although it should be noted that on the computer you have more options for editing and use.
Cons
Personally I am not a fan of the default ones, I find them out of time. I think the design team could update them, and make them more modern, in this case I think I would make more use of them to facilitate the work and time. I would also like the way of editing to be more free and not so limited, but for what there is now, it is enough to create quick videos.

I have already explained about iMovie it’s the best software i ever come across..
Pros
I would like to share my own experience here editing a video is become more easy to me day by day. I took no courses to learn this software which means it’s easy to access to anyone. The best part of the software is it made my work more professional Thank you once again.
Cons
I should be not simply writing in order to fill the box and not to keep empty. Im using iMovie since 7 years i feel there is nothing that lacks in it.

Overall, the experience is good if I am trying to make a quick movie that is not necessarily professional. There are many instances where this is great. However, if I wanted to make a professional video for a company, then I need to use a more robust program.
Pros
If you are casually making videos this program is perfect. You can use your device to do all parts of the video creation including capturing content, editing, and exporting.
Cons
Using your device to make a lot of edits can become cumbersome due to the small size of your device. It also does not have as many functions as paid versions of video editors.

Because I was working at a smaller church at the time, iMovie was perfect for our video production needs. I was able to use it to create an edit Movies that gave me one more avenue of communication with our congregation.
Pros
iMovie is fairly user-friendly for people who are less experienced at video editing but still have some media experience. I found it relatively simple to piece together clips and audio files to make videos that look moderately well made.
Cons
Piecing together clips can get a little clunky at times Since the dragon drop feature is not conducive to the use of ansince the dragon drop feature is not conducive to the use of a track pad. Another issue was that it was not always easy to manage video and audio fades.

I think it is great if you're a casual user. It can be used to edit many format of videos. I haven't tried editing with 4k yet as it is too heavy to my hardware. There are so many export options available too! Lastly, it is free, so I won't be picky too much on this. Frankly speaking, it is the best freeware compared to Windows video editing freeware.
Pros
- All essentials are provided to casual users.
- Easy to use.
- It is FREE.
Cons
- Professional might need something more than these.
- Lacks of modern/trendy templates.
- Titles are not draggable/moveable.
- Laggy playback during editing on my 2015's Macbook (8GB ram) too.
- Only Mac OS supported.
