Microsoft SQL Server
About Microsoft SQL Server
SQL Server is a relational database management system (RDMS) designed to help businesses of all sizes analyze structured or unstructured data across various data environments including Azure SQL Database, Azure Cosmos DB, MySQL, and more. It enables administrators to track the performance of databases, monitor data lakes, and handle data warehousing operations on a unified platform.
Features of SQL Server include multi-language support, compliance management, data classification, automated alerts, full-text search, and more. It allows software developers to manage big data environments and deploy data clusters of containerized instances of Apache Spark and Hadoop Data File System (HDFS). DevOps teams can also utilize in-memory database capabilities to track the performance of business workloads.
SQL Server provides extract, transform, and load (ETL) capabilities, which enable users to extract business data from various sources, create custom workflows, execute aggregation, deduplication, or merging of data, and export the transformed data into destination databases or files. It allows employees to store digital objects including dynamic management views (DMVs), procedures, indexes, constraints, and transaction logs in a centralized repository.

It is reliable; I can't see problems with data integrity checks or reporting. The ability to connect it to anything and everything is remarkable.
Pros
I like the security setup, and the ability to export databases and configurations.
Cons
The Microsoft licensing structure for SQL is a bit odd. Some options are available for dual-core but not for single-core. Why is that?

My overall experience with SQL would be perfectly described as stable and fluid. There is a huge amount of documentation and communities that helps me solve any issue I encounter with it.
Pros
One of the things I like the most about SQL is the fact that most of my industry works with it, so its easy and convenient to use and gather workflows that suit us and implement them in new projects. Other than that, I haven had any issue with SQL so far. Its robust, is fast, and simply works for every task we use it.
Cons
Maybe this is something general for databases, but we usually struggle with Hardware when working with big SQL databases, since SQL will use everything it has available in the server.
