Patriot offers an easy to-use online accounting software for small businesses and their accountants. Patriot Accounting software allows users to track money transactions, pay bills, create estimates and invoice unlimited customers.
Users can set up multiple accounts, including expense accounts and income accounts, to handle different types of transactions such as money deposited or withdrawn, outgoing money, activities for payroll, incoming money from product sales, and more. Easily import transactions, or upload a file from your bank and reconcile your accounts. Patriot Accounting software allows users to create rules for imported transactions, and has cutting edge machine learning to suggest accounts for transactions.
Patriot Accounting helps in customer invoicing and vendor payment by allowing users to add, delete or edit information related to them. Sales tax rates can also the customized by users as per the laws applicable in their state for easy tax calculation whenever an invoice is raised. Additionally, vendor payment checks can be printed through Patriot Accounting.
With Patriot Accounting, users can generate payment reports for multiple vendors for a specified date range. Other reports such as vendor or customer payment histories, accounts payable aging, accounts receivable aging, check register report, balance sheet, profit and loss statements, and form 1099/1096 summaries can also be accessed through the solution. You can also opt to e-file your 1099's to the IRS.

My overall opinion of Patriot is favorable. There is nothing that is show stopper. Everything is workable. I find overall the software is easy to use and you don't need an accounting degree to use it.
Pros
It is easy to use. The A/R and customer invoicing work fairly well. Reports that are on the system work okay, but I wish there were more and some more flexibility. Customer service is great.
Cons
Accounts Payable- There is no easy way to go into a vendor's file and see the entire payment information. You have to go to a billing report to see some info. There is plenty of room in the vendor payment heading to see each and every part of a vendor invoice number, dates account charged, date paid & check number. You cannot see all this now.

I am not an accountant and I am not very techy so when I request help I was told multiple times...
I am not an accountant and I am not very techy so when I request help I was told multiple times that they can't help with that that I needed to talk to an accountant. Some I thought would be simply questions for someone that was in a tech support position.
Pros
I was really not impressed with anything about the program
Cons
I do not like how the payroll software interacts with the banking reconciliation. It took me forever to align the checks for printing, finally figured out that the payroll checks aligned differently than the accounting checks

I use to use qb desktop years ago and love the easiness of the program. I hated the online version and I hated paying their high monthly fees. I didn't think I had the option again but found an older version of the desktop one I use to use. I am going to go back to using qb for the simpleness of the program. I found the software to be very easy to use from the start. I feel it is much better than the QuickBooks software I used previously. I also found the customer service people to be very helpful and the fact that they are Americans makes it easier on me (my hearing is not as good as it once was).
Pros
Ease of set up, ease of use, and when customer service is needed, they are always easy to understand and have been amazing.
Cons
The problem with the emailing an invoice only from a Google browser. That is a minor inconvenience, but really the only inconvenience I have found so far with the software.

Pros
Once the software was figured out it was easy to maneuver around the program and get where you want to be. Very user friendly and a great value.
Cons
Sometimes the plaid link to the bank accounts can glitch and then you have to re link it.
