About 1Password
1Password is a secure, enterprise password manager helping businesses improve security, visibility and control over how their passwords and company data are protected.
Our password management and credentials security platform is trusted by over 100,000 businesses, including IBM, Slack, Snowflake, Shopify, and Under Armour. 1Password protects the most sensitive information of millions of individuals and families across the globe, helping consumers and businesses get more done in less time – without compromising security and privacy.
Businesses can enforce strong, integrated security policies at scale, be proactive about cybersecurity threats to reduce risk, and quickly and easily generate detailed reports on password security posture.
We’re the only password manager that can say with full confidence your secrets will remain safe in the unlikely event of a breach. 1Password’s unique Two-Key-Derivation using the combination of an account password and Secret Key (128-bit, machine-generated code) means nobody could decrypt the data in the unlikely case they were able to access it.
Deployment is easy no matter the size of your business. You can invite people individually by email address or send a sign-up link to everyone. If you use 1Password Business and manage your team using a supported identity provider, you can automatically provision new team members from your IdP using the 1Password SCIM Bridge. If you’re already using a password management solution, migration from your existing solution is easy with simple import tools.
Our team is on hand and ready to give you the tailored guidance and support you need to make onboarding or switching solutions as easy as possible. We support the adoption of 1Password across your organization at no extra cost, offering simple import tools, guided-onboarding, support documentation to deploy quickly, and training initiatives to get employees up and running with ease.

I really enjoy this program I really feel like my information is secure and no one's going to be able to access it or get to it and I love the way that it syncs up through multiple devices.
Pros
You can sync it between multiple devices it's quick it's easy it organizes them for you into cards by name or however you want to organize them The customer service is awesome And it's reasonably priced
Cons
I wish the aesthetics were a little bit more it's just plain white and blue sometimes it hurts my head but I love everything else

1Password is the best password manager going
Reviewed on 19/07/2024
Pros
The company, 1Password, is dedicated to the product 1Password. It's all they do and they clearly care to do it well.
They not only stay on top of security trends, but are helping push the industry forward, e.g. with their support and advocacy of passkeys. You can look up technical details of their encryption, audits, etc. better than I can describe them here, but they are copacetic.
They keep the product regularly updated without breaking anything, but making important improvements. They seem to work a lot on user experience, accessibility, and website compatibility.
It has an effective and easy API and CLI tool.
It's really a pleasure to use. As much as one can enjoy the utilitarian role a password manager plays, I enjoy interacting with 1Password. My family is not so nerdy, but they set it up by themselves and actually use it—that's the highest praise I can give.
Cons
It's not cheap. It's definitely worth the price, but there are free alternatives.
It's not open source. There are decent reasons [sensitive content hidden] and they have enough other forms of accountability that I am not concerned, but you may prefer open source software.
Sharing items is not quite intuitive. There's sharing with your family/org by moving to a shared folder, then sharing a secure link, and sharing content as text. These different functions have colliding names and inconsistent icons in inconsistent places across the different apps. They do seem to be making incremental improvements in this area lately.
Reasons for Choosing 1Password
LastPass was the only serious game in town when I started using it, c. 2009. But they haven't kept up. Since they were acquired, the product has stagnated. The interface is clunky, new standards and features are slow in coming, and there's no sign they'll improve. And then there was the breach. 1Password is a pleasure to use by comparison. And more importantly, the company is dedicated to the product and clearly focused on user security and experience.Switched From
LastPassReasons for Switching to 1Password
LastPass is slowly dying. See the “switch“ comment for details. Bitwarden is cool, but not as easy to use as 1Password. I wanted my family and friends to get on board, and 1P makes it as easy as possible to do that.- Industry: Writing & Editing

I used it for many years but I found as 1Password updated their software, some features were difficult to use. If you forget the master password, it uses an emergency kit to get you back in but the kit is difficult to use.
Pros
1Password is easy-to-use with a good user interface. It syncs across all my devices. Has a strong master password.
Cons
It had a security breech which industry leader recommend caution using 1Password. It is expensive and has limited import options.

How to leave the Apple Ecosystem

I think it is really great. After using the iCloud credentials manager I was a little scared of leaving the Apple environment and the password manager was one of the greatest cons of leaving it. Importing the passwords from iCloud was really easy, it works very well, almost like a native password manager and in general I would recommend it.
Pros
The biggest pro is the option of passkey, I think it is one of the greatest features. The password are more secure in their app than in other type of password managers. It's really easy to import your credentials from other apps.
Cons
Not so many websites allow passkeys. Sometimes the website is not recognize automatically. You need to configure manually in the browser so you can only see the recommendations of 1password instead of the browser recommendations.
