NetSuite has been very evidently useful in our analysis business. You are saving your average of forty percent when it comes to risk assessment because of the automated alerts and the new scoring system.
Pros
Affiliated continuous time integrated credit risk scoring that identifies possible risks right from customers and machines using algorithms based on current financial information and past payment records, respectively. The flexibility of the dynamic financial modeling that allows using scenarios for the risk assessment procedure, including several factors simultaneously in the model.
Cons
There are few opportunities to modify parameters determining risk evaluation at the level of a concrete client. The templates appropriating financial reporting require further flexibility in computing special risk. It may be possible to organize the multiple client assessments more efficiently by doing them in batches.

This was a terrible experience from the get-go. Our CTO adopted NetSuite and it was clearly not the right choice from our business. It started with the lack of training. I think we had 2 training sessions over 6 months for the merchandising team. It slowed down the definition process of our catalog so that what used to take 10 minutes in the previous ERP took 3 hours. With many fields mapped to obscure auto index #s for definitions you had to build a decoder ring to keep them all straight. Basically everything we learned to do in Netsuite came from Google or YouTube. All of the menus were different depending on which role you had so cross-training between departments was impossible because people had to get to the same task via different paths. The filtering on reports was flawed and the Import/export menus kept so much history you had to scroll just to find the latest import/export only to be told it was still processing. The only rapid response you got from the team was when it was time to pony up another 250K for renewal. We probably had 5-6 different account people in charge of our account over the course of the 18 months we had the program. Just a terrible experience for us. Would give it zero stars if I could.
Pros
Lots of options to create reports and define items.
Cons
Very Difficult to integrate and overly complicated. It slowed down our overall processes and a lot of the logic did not make sense when defining items. It isn't good when they tell you to use a different program to help with the definition process. It is very expensive as well especially when the training is so poor that all you wind up using it for is glorified accounting.

My overall experience with NetSuite so far has been quite interesting as I feel the need to know more about the application. There are functions on the platform that make a lot of the operational workload easier especially when it comes to reports. The application is dynamic and overall great to use for business operations.
Pros
1. NetSuite offers a wide range of modules covering financial management, CRM, e-commerce, inventory, and supply chain management.
2. Suitable for businesses of all sizes, from small startups to large enterprises.
3. It is cloud-based.
4. It is customizable and Flexible
5. Provides real-time visibility into business performance with robust reporting and analytics tools.
6. Supports multi-currency, multi-language, and multi-subsidiary operations, making it ideal for global businesses.
7. Regular updates and new features are automatically deployed, ensuring the system stays current with the latest technology and best practices.
Cons
1. It can be expensive, especially for small businesses or startups, due to subscription fees, customization costs, and user licenses.
2. Requires a learning curve and may necessitate ongoing training and support.
3. Implementation can be time-consuming and complex, requiring careful planning and resources.
4. Occasional slowdowns or downtime may impact business operations

It was terrible. I was passed to several different people. No one spoke to each other about my issues, and no one resolved any other than offering to charge me more for a new module that would fix everything.
Pros
I like the promise that it would have good reporting and customization.
Cons
was extremely dissatisfaction with the service and support provided by NetSuite over the past year. Unfortunately, my experience has been fraught with numerous issues, ultimately leading me to decide not to renew our contract.
From the outset, the implementation of NetSuite was handled incorrectly, causing significant disruptions to our business operations. Whenever we encountered an issue, the standard resolution offered was to purchase an additional module, which felt more like a sales strategy than a genuine effort to resolve our problems.
Moreover, the pricing structure for essential features such as payroll and profit and loss by jobs was not made clear upfront, leading to unexpected costs that strained our budget. Throughout our time with NetSuite, I found that no one seemed to have the necessary expertise to fix the issues we faced. Despite numerous requests to speak with supervisors, I was consistently told that our problems could be solved by spending more money, which was both frustrating and unacceptable.
Compounding these issues was the frequent turnover of our account manager, who changed four times within the year. This lack of continuity meant that no one had a clear understanding of our account history or ongoing issues, resulting in repeated explanations and a general lack of progress in resolving our concerns.
It is evident that the primary focus was on receiving payment rather than providing effective solutions and support. This approach has left us with a system that does not meet our needs and has caused considerable disruption to our operations.

Oracle NetSuite for Finance Team
Reviewed on 22/03/2024
Pros
I would like to dive straight into the pros as given below:
1- It does allow us to automate almost everything in Netsuite using Scripts and workflow.
2- Easy to set up custom fields based on your tracking requirements.
3- Tax reporting is a lot easier now and if you are in Australia now you can ANZ localization for PTRS reporting.
4- Integrate with most of the systems you for most of the accounting function such as Accounts payable, AR, Fixed Assets, Bank Recs, Bank payment files, Sales and purchase orders and tax authorities.
We have moved from another software which is used for small companies but since we have moved to Netsuite we are loving it and will keep on using it now.
Cons
I don't think there is anything I don't like about Netsuite as it is very user-friendly and does allow you to integrate with almost everything.

NetSuite: A Game-Changer for Our Business Success

NetSuite has been essential to our business. It has streamlined our operations, making us faster and leaner while giving us a technological edge over our competitors. The seamless access and company-wide visibility it offers are truly irreplaceable. Overall, I believe NetSuite has been a key factor in our continued success.
Pros
NetSuite is a fantastic program that stands out for its flexibility and versatility. It allows you to manage your entire company seamlessly through an easy-to-use platform. The access and control it provides over various business functions make it an invaluable tool for streamlining operations and ensuring everything runs smoothly. Whether you're handling finances, inventory, or customer relationships, NetSuite makes it all manageable from one central hub.
Cons
One challenge with NetSuite is the overall initial costs, particularly when you don’t fully grasp the value it brings right away. Additionally, its immense versatility can sometimes be overwhelming, almost like falling into a rabbit hole with countless features and options. To get the most out of it, it's crucial to have strong upfront control and a well-thought-out plan for implementation. Without that, it’s easy to get lost in all the possibilities.

NetSuite seems to want my business to fail rather than succeed

The decision to move to NetSuite was difficult. It was extremely expensive for our small company (4 of us at the time), but the features were robust and we felt like it could grow with us. We were talked into additional features at added costs (Premium Support and ACS) that we have regretted purchasing (they were unable to delivery anywhere close the value promised, mostly because of bureaucratic processes that only served to waste our time). NetSuite does not care at all that we are unhappy customers. I like to think of our service providers as being part of my team -- they will help me succeed and in turn that will help them succeed. NetSuite does not care at all about whether we are successful, and instead seems only to want to squeeze every last penny out of us. At this point we have spent so much time and money on NetSuite that we are reluctant to move our business. We keep hoping that our investment will one day pay off, but are usually left cursing NetSuite rather than praising it.
Pros
NetSuite has a lot of capabilities. I am confident that if we invested enough in the system, it could handle all of our needs.
Cons
NetSuite is clunky and not user friendly. It is not designed for small business, where each employee wears multiple hats. We are 7 people, and most employees have to switch between roles daily to accomplish their goals. When we reach out to NetSuite for help or suggestions, they do not treat the relationship as a service provider who wants us to grow and be successful. Instead, they try to squeeze every dollar out of us. They consistently under-deliver on time-sensitive outcomes, and try to sell us upgrades we don't need and can't afford. Our account manager is delightful, but has no authority to help us in any capacity. Every B2B transaction is extremely difficult (including us paying NetSuite). When we try to lean in on NetSuite services, we find they are unable to deliver what was promised, and are unwilling to negotiate or apologize for their own shortcomings and mistakes.
