Visio, perfect for illustrations, Workflows and Diagrams
Reviewed on 19/05/2024
Pros
The vast amount of available tools and shapes, layered setup and import & export features.
Cons
Due to its pricing, Visio isn't available for our users by default (like other MS Office products, Word, excel, outlook etc.) and require purchasing of additional licenses. Cost concerns is pushing us away from the application, to another but free or cheaper application.

Pros
Simple to use, easy to create professional graphics for business use.
Cons
Lack of variety in available shapes and connectors. Whilst this does keep a consistency between graphics created by different users, I find it limiting.

Pretty great! I do wish I didn't struggle as much with the lag though.
Pros
The icons were really great! They were split into clear and easy to understand categories. The ability to remove and add the visibility of the categories, made it a lot easier to stay focused on what I'm trying to do.
Cons
It was pretty laggy and slow, I think it may be because it's an older application, but much like Sway there were times it was being difficult.

I use Visio often when looking to communicate a technical process with non-technical co-workers or clients. Sometimes it's difficult to fit everything into a PowerPoint slide, so I rely on Visio when needing to create something much more detailed. Visio is also easier to create flows than you can with objects on PowerPoint.
Pros
Visio is a great tool for creating diagrams and other types of visuals to communicate technical processes in ways that other Microsoft products like Word and PowerPoint can't quite offer.
Cons
The number of features can be overwhelming, I recommend consulting professionals or online tutorials to get a complete understanding of the possibilities.

Visio is an excellent tool for creating detailed and professional diagrams, especially for technical users and teams who need precision and a variety of templates. However, it’s not always the most user-friendly software, and its cost might be prohibitive for occasional users or small teams.

I've been using Microsoft Visio for several years to create flowcharts, organizational charts, and technical diagrams, and overall, it's an essential tool for visualizing complex information.
Cons
While it's a powerful tool, Visio can feel overwhelming for new users. The user interface isn’t always intuitive.

My overall experience with Visio is like taking a journey through a visual wonderland. It's a tool that transforms the mundane into the extraordinary, whether I'm mapping out ideas, visualizing data, or streamlining workflows. The learning curve is a minor speed bump on the road to productivity paradise. It's like having a creative assistant that speaks the language of visuals fluently.
Pros
I'm a big fan of Visio's versatility. Whether it's turning complex data into compelling visuals, choreographing workflows, or creating mind maps that spark creativity, Visio is like a Swiss Army knife for productivity. The visual element adds a layer of clarity and creativity to tasks that might otherwise be a bit dull. It's like turning work into a visual masterpiece!
Cons
Sometimes, the learning curve with Visio can be a bit steep for newcomers. It's like trying to solve a puzzle without the picture on the box. But once you get the hang of it, the possibilities are endless. The initial struggle is a small price to pay for the versatility it offers.
