Mixed reaction as it can handle creation of small and simple websites in seconds with easy UI but not the same case for industry apps.

Pros

Drag-and-drop interface makes it easy for beginners to create websites. Includes hosting, domain registration, and e-commerce tools which is very convenient.

Cons

May not be suitable for large, complex websites. Can be slower than some other platforms, especially for larger sites.

Overall Experience: I used Wix for one year, and my experience was generally positive. I initially chose Wix because my web designer, who is an affiliate, builds all her clients' websites on the platform. The functionality was easy to navigate, even with limited experience managing a website. I appreciated how user-friendly the back office is and how easy it is to find what you need. When I needed to update my website, customer support was excellent—after explaining my needs, the agent was more than helpful and made my experience

Pros

Pros: What I liked most about Wix was the ease of use, even for someone with limited technical experience. The support team was incredibly helpful, and the platform itself is designed in a way that makes it simple to manage and update your website.

Cons

Cons: The main drawback for me was the pricing, especially when it came time to renew. As someone who is just starting my business, I found the price point too high, particularly since I didn't need all the features in the basic package. I only needed a basic online presence with a few features, so I ultimately switched to a platform that offers more flexibility and a price point I can grow with.

Wix- Pros and cons

Reviewed on 01/11/2024

My overall experience with Wix hasn't been satisfactory and I have used other better platforms which give better services and solutions to their users. Though among many cons it is good for beginners who are just starting with website design, hosting, backlinks, and everything as it gives you everything in one place which makes it easier for people to start with their journey but being a professional I found it pretty average as there can be more complex and intriguing features to have vast users community and definitely make it little more pocket friendly so that it is accessible to all.

Pros

One thing I like about Wix is the availability of templates and the ease of reformatting while making a site or landing page. It's a beginner-friendly platform as it gives you backlinks, SEO tools, and almost a designed website with a few clicks. Another feature I like is that it's user-friendly; you don't need proper website design knowledge for it.

Cons

1. The site keeps on crashing and it lags a lot which makes it difficult to work on it making a website on Wix feels never-ending and even SEO features don't work very well you can do only a basic level of work on it.
2. Though it offers templates, they're very basic and don't offer complex designs, which makes your website look interactive and attractive.
3. Pricing is insanely high and they change their prices as they please which makes it less pocket-friendly their competitors have better plans with better features and services.
4. Customer -service is also not that great as they take a good amount of time to reply to you back and resolve your issue.

It's usually good, except when the updates create more work. I did not like that and it has happened a few times now. I don't like the increase in fees and neither do my clients.

Pros

It's easy to work on, except when they make stupid updates that make it take 60 minutes to fix something that should have taken 5 mins.

Cons

This new update moved things I had already placed. It changed where I wanted things and wouldn't let me put them back. It added spacer which was not needed or wanted. TERRIBLE update. Thank god I was able to turn it off, but I had to waste another 25 minutes on chat to find it. That's 90 minutes thereabouts wasted as a result of the pointless update.

I've been using Wix for several years now and think it's the best all-round web management platform for most users. For ease and convenience, there's nothing that works better.

Pros

Wix is my favorite web design software. Far easier than WordPress to pick up, it offers a user-friendly interface and lots of options. Its media manager is intuitive and offers many ready-made options. The designer for events listing is clear and concise, and provides audiences with an easy-to-read and quick shopping experience.

Cons

My least favorite thing about Wix is that to look up answers to questions can be a long and roundabout process. Their help function is less helpful than Googling.

Wix is better than wordpress for entrepreneurs, beginners and intermediates

I've used it since 2016 and haven't found a better platforms that allows me to easily customize myself. It's saved me tons of money. I had a developer build a website for me on wordpress before and editing it was a nightmare on my own and cost me tons of money everytime I needed a small edit.

Pros

It's pretty intuitive, especially compared to wordpress. I've built many websites for myself as well as clients on Wix which allows me to give them administrator access afterwords, quickly train them on it, then they can do any updates they need in the future. This is awesome so they save fees on paying a developer to do updates as many people do on wordpress.
When I've needed support, I submit a ticket and Wix always helps me sort through whatever technical glitch I have.
I'm glad Wix finally has responsive websites as well.
I can basically customize the website however I want to; lots of flexibility.

Cons

The mobile design and consistency between responsive websites sizes is still not ideal. It's annoying having to make so many edits multiple times to make sure it looks good on all different types of devices. Shifting things around between different sections glitches sometimes. Designing the blog is tedious and SEO is tedious. I wonder how AI will change this eventually.

Our experience with Wix was fairly straight forward, we got exactly what we wanted out of it and it made our website look like it was designed by a pro and work like one.

Pros

Wix is the website design that outshines it's competition. It's ease of use and ability to autosize pages is impressive. it makes you look like a pro.

Pros

I like how Wix has designer templates that are easily customizable to suit my needs for both my own business and my personal portfolio website. I've found that Wix has more features than the website builder I previously used, too.

Cons

Overall, Wix is my preferred platform for making my websites and blogs. The value that they provide is astounding! If Wix keeps heading in the same direction, the only thing that can be expected is growth. There is so many more pro's than con's to be listed.

Pros

Wix is a solid web development platform, and to capture the whole point of this review, an overall amazing platform for any purpose! Wix provides fantastic payment plans that are affordable, provide a ton of value, and encourage growth of a personal website, wedding website, or a corporate site, you name it -- this is the platform to use. There are designated plans that are recommended for large businesses and allow for unlimited bandwidth, large amounts of content uploading, and ad credit of up to $300. There is no cap that is placed on your creativity in using this site. Wix will even supply free templates to get you started.

Cons

The only thing that I had difficulty with is navigating some areas of the page. Since there is so much that is offered through this platform, they do their best to simply the whole process and even walk you through it, some parts can be overwhelming and may take time to learn, but with a bit of practice you can learn the page navigation like the back of your own hand!

We predominantly used Wix to spin up web templates for clients. It was always easy to train fellow co-workers on.

Pros

There's a lot of decisions that we have to make in life. If you work in marketing, it's how to spin up a quick landing page with little to no front-end designing skills. Enter Wix, the reliable web template builder. Sure, if you want to curse yourself out for hours straight you can buy a Wordpress template and configure it. If you have a couple of extra bucks in your pocket you can use Square Space and use one of their cookie-cutter templates. I like Wix because it gets the job done without breaking the bank, while giving serval options on spinning up a new website layout.

Cons

I've noticed the support isn't as robust as Square Space, but there's typically very little that I need support on.

As a business Wix has helped our business reach more people by offering online bookings and receiving international transactions. I would absolutely recommend it to anyone looking for an easy to use platform.

Pros

Wix has been an excellent platform to host my Health and Wellness business website. I am able to schedule patient bookings, receive payments and even post to my social media. I have been using Wix for almost a year now. I switched from Squarespace because it was more affordable and offered a greater variety of tools for my business website. What I enjoy most about Wix is that it offers so many tools for social media promotion, video creation, business administration and is great for international transactions.

Cons

I would have to say that Wix overall is an excellent platform. But like everything, there are some things I wish they could modify or add to make the experience 100% ! For example, being able to get a hold of a customer service representative to receive assistance when I cannot receive it online is a pain. It's almost impossible to be in contact with a real person. Other than that, I cannot complain. Wix has provided a great product.

Overall , I am a happy Wix user so far.
Everything in WIX is a no-brainer. Even if you do, there's always a friendly help support team to ask around with. So, go ahead and try it out. Building a website wouldn't be a headache with WIX ;)

Pros

I really like how versatile WIX is. You can basically be as creative as you want in building your own website. Even if you are not as creative , the beautiful templates given are enough to make you choose the perfect design. Or you can even let WIX to do the site building job for you as they have a very convenient and intelligent . Just answer a few questions and let Wix to start building your website. You just need to make some personal touch and that will be guided by Wix as well.

I love the fact that there is a cropping tool which can really cut off your time if you're not a photoshop user. The tool gives you the simplest way to crop out background and saving you lots of time.

Also, another thing to love is that how simple it is to integrate other software into wix . Even if you are from a zero coding background, integration becomes easy as ABC and that's no joke.

Cons

I have to say that I didn't like the fact that most widgets added in Wix are some add on feature which require you sign up and pay. I have to say as convenient they are, the usage is quite limited and the price is somewhat expensive. For example, there is a limit for the forms and subscribers name lists .
Hence, as a user, we have required to use 3rd party software to be integrated such as Zapier and Hubspot.
I just realized that by using Wix as a website, it means that you are bound to use it for the rest of your life as you cannot transfer your site to some other site builders.
It wouldnt be much of a big deal if you have already done it as the features in Wix are quite comprehensive and useful.

Pros

Wix couldn't be simpler and easier to use. It is so affordable, so simple, and yet incredibly powerful. I had no idea how easy it was going to be when I was getting started, but now I'm a huge fan, and probably will be for life.

Pros

The ease of use. It was so simple to set up and build a website, I had one online in a matter of 2 hours.

On top of that, it was so affordable, that I had paid for 3 years of hosting, that cost me less than it would cost to have someone build a site, let alone host for 3 years. In other words, it's saved me thousands of dollars.

Cons

Truthfully, I don't have any major complaints yet, because it's doing everything I've needed it to do. Perhaps I could say, it seems so feature rich that I could never fully tap into all of its powerful capabilities.

The other downside might be down the road, if ever I needed to export my website to a different host, that might cause a few hiccups, but I'm locked in for another couple of years, so it's not a worry presently.

My overall experience with Wix has been a positive one. I have been able to put together a web page that truly embodies the spirit of my business and also manage all the details of my work in a streamlined manner that I haven't found anywhere else.

Pros

I am not really a web designer. I have spent thousands of dollars attempting to build "the perfect website."
However, I was never really happy with any of my websites and continued to search on the internet for other options. After seeing numerous commercials on TV and also raving reviews from my friends, who are also not web designers, I decided to give Wix a chance. It really changed the game for me. I was able to build my website in one day and fine tune it over time. I also love the fact that it includes free hosting. That was really something that popped out at me.

Cons

Wix Review: Is it Really Good?

Reviewed on 01/08/2022

Pros

Among many site builder software available, Wix distinguishes itself from others since it offers a wide variety of user friendly tools to customers. Among the many advantages of the software following are the most attractive.
1. The design templates available are upgraded and with the drag-drop options any one can create a website within a short span of time.
2. User friendly interface of wix offers different tools to create, manage and update websites and its content.
3. We can add animations for texts as well as for other elements in a flexible user interface.
4. There are a number of website apps that the user can add to the website using the App market tool.
5. Built in SEO management makes it easy for the user to market products and services.
6. Flexible payment plans.
7. Free logo maker tool and free https.
8. Customer support is excellent.

Cons

Even though Wix is among one among the best of its kind, there are some areas in which they can really make improvements which would enhance user experience and the quality of service provided.
1. Ads are a major problem for users using the free and connect domain plans. The Wix banner is also a hassle.
2. Even though Wix offers a smart assistant to build websites through Artificial Design Intelligence, a major drawback is that its not available to all types of projects.
3. Lack of a unlimited plan and the need to have a paid plan for tracking and analytics are among the things that need some improvement.
4. If you wish to go for a redesigning, no option is available to change the template already chosen.

Wix: Web Development Bulwark

My experience with Wix kicked off when they launched their HTML platform in 2012; a year later, I would find myself using Wix to study HTML by dissecting pre-built modules and whole websites in order to gain insight into their operation - then appropriating that knowledge to my own projects.

By late 2015, I was firmly established as a freelancer, offering web development as a service to my clients; it was then that I realised some projects need not be built from scratch, but instead were better suited for Wix - I used my existing knowledge of HTML, paired with the Wix platform, to build clean, fully-functional websites for my clients in no time at all, cutting costs and saving time for both myself and my clients. More recently, I've utilised Wix to help establish a presence on the internet for two of my startup companies.

I am very satisfied with Wix overall, and, as both developer and end-user, I've found no fault with their services over the course of six years.

Pros

Wix was designed and developed with untrained users in mind, people who work in fields unrelated to web development as a whole - the result is a simple, easy-to-use platform for basic web development, all without the need to spend two (or more) years mastering the HTML, Java, CSS and/or PHP languages. Overall, Wix has had a profound impact the success of small/medium startups, and will continue to disrupt the market by providing a means of developing beautiful websites to entrepreneurs for years to come.

Cons

The greatest downfall for Wix, and any similar service, is the nature of the service itself; using templates and ready-made code in order to work around building the website from scratch has as many benefits as it has downsides - for most, the functionality provided by Wix is absolutely sufficient, but for others the need for specialised functionality not facilitated by Wix will require hands-on coding and building.

Wix has been working around this problem by making the code accessible, and providing a more-than-adequate editor with which to amend the pre-written code, all the while expanding on the available code behind the tools a user can implement on a Wix site - ultimately, though, Wix does not support the full functionality behind HTML, Java, etc. that one would have access to when developing a website from scratch.

Wix is better than Word Press and HTML www.dcsleds.com

I always tell everyone that they should use Wix as opposed to HTML or Word Press. The cool thing is that Wix can use HTML. I had a very old website that was built on HTML and all I wanted to do was transfer that site to Wix. I shopped around to see what it would cost to transfer the files. 300 to 700 dollars. I gambled and just highlighted the HTML files and went into Wix and Wix has a HTML button to add the files on your website. I did it all in less than 5 minutes. I saved hundreds of dollars. And I saved time.

Pros

The ease of use for someone on my level. I'm a robotics engineer. And I teach robotics on a college level. So programming is not a big issue for me. I think Wix should add their own version of Chat GPT. Maybe you already have it, and I don't know how to apply it. If so, please email me on how to use it.

Cons

I don't mind using the Wix bots. But there are certain questions your bot would not be able to answer. But the way Wix moved me to a real person was great.

Reasons for Choosing Wix

I've been using Wix for years and I understand how Wix works. I wanted all of my sites to be under one platform.

Reasons for Switching to Wix

Almost Perfect, A Dozen Steps Away Being Wonderful!

Pros:
1- Very easy to use and time saver for any level of web development,
2- Safe and fast servers,
3- High quality library.

Cons:
1- Expensive,
2- High renewal prices,
3- Extra costs,
4- Slow customer support.

Overall, if you have a budget to use for it, it's definitely worth it. But there is no any cheap alternatives for the presented technology.

Pros

Wix probably has the most efficient design tool for creating a web page. It's not only working with templates, also, you can create your own templates. You can easily add segments, like text, images, video, etc. Drag and drop features are very effective and useful. Besides this, contact page features are also very useful. I set up my contact form easily and this is a very complex process if you are not a web developer with WordPress and other types of platforms. I like the main panel too. I did my webpage responsivity for mobile phones and tablets with a couple of clicks.

Also, they have a really good library. You don't even need to pay for images to Stock image platforms.

Overall, I have my own website in Wix and plenty of accounts for my customers. Wix is totally a time saver. I'm not afraid of revisions after I start to work with Wix. Even though I have high experience with WordPress, my first choice is Wix. If you are a very beginner with Web page design, you can set up a professional-looking website within 2 hours and this is really great.

Cons

In my opinion, Wix has a great developer team but l can't say the same thing for the marketing department.

1- You can start using Wix at very low prices. They always offer %50 or even higher discounts for the first year. But after 1 year, you need to pay almost equal to 3 webpage costs.
2- The Wix premium domain does not include an e-mail account. You need to pay really high prices for each e-mail account for each person. Standart domain services is already have e-mail accounts. For every single customer, I also purchase a domain account from a different company and direct their e-mail account to Wix. This is a very exhausting process.
3- Last thing is, customer support is very slow. Once, I needed urgent help and I could get a response after 2 days. Also, you can contact Wix in your main language. But customer support is based in the USA (I think so) and you need to set your timezone for a phone contact. This is a serious minus for me.

My go-to website development tool for clients

I’ve used Wix for over 11 years and have had 100% client satisfaction. The templates have given me light speed in turnaround time for completing an entire website and warp speed when executing any requests for changes and updates from clients. It all boils down to providing excellent customer service to my clients and this web development tool makes it that much easier for me.

Pros

More often do my clients want a website that they can easily modify and manage on their own after it’s been developed and published. When I know this to be on their wishlist for their site, I go to Wix. Not only can I quickly design a site for them without the obligation of purchasing the web hosting, they can walkthrough the product and use it before committing to it. Their platform is easy to use with plenty of opportunities to modify templates and the apps to enhance the features and functions of the site are low-cost and also easy to use.

Cons

There are certainly some design limitations with the interface. The changes I make on desktop version doesn’t automatically take effect on the mobile version (requiring more time and effort when designing). While I do love the unstructured editor which allows me more freedom in my design, I’ve found myself just learning shortcuts and workarounds with the bugs I encounter. But for clients who aren’t as familiar with the interface, it can be a struggle.
