> **Pros**: Expert Estimation Genesis is an easy to use multi-user application with good security controls and an intuitive, clean user interface. It can be used for all disciplines and it's about as flexible as you can get when setting up your projects. The availability of an undo button and the ability to make save points at various stages of the estimate development is very useful, as is the automatic save and backup features so you never lose your work. It is supported by superior training modules and knowledgebase as well as 24/7 support.

> **Cons**: The application seemed to be a little sluggish with some of the monster size projects (say \>20k line schedules) but performance improves with each application update so it's important to keep up to date. Generally there is little not to like about the software. If you hit a stumbling block, call the team and they usually solve most issues during the phone call.

> **Pros**: The formula cell implementation ignores plain text strings allowing estimators to write descriptions and units inside the formula which provides context to calculations and is an excellent feature.Simultaneous working within a project is a great feature and works flawlessly.Managing margin, overheads, risk, and spreading works well.The ability to build a library of rates and the Group Resource features are excellent.

> **Cons**: Expert Estimation has a confusing set of keyboard shortcuts. Rather than mirroring the typical shortcuts and formulas most would be accustomed to in other programs (eg Microsoft and particularly Microsoft Excel), Expert estimation has used it's own set despite the overall similarity to MS Excel in terms of layout. This adds relearning requirements when training on Expert and slows down the work speed. In addition some formulas are cumbersome and could be shortened, eg "\#LQ" is probably the most used function when estimating.The direct cost schedule formula cell does not allow for references to other lines as is possible within the cost estimates themselves.

> **Pros**: The Genesis version is much more user friendly than the earlier 2014 version and provides a number of options to enable estimates to be customised to suit  each requirement. The Pronamics team has worked hard to get this newer version to match and now surpass the 2014 version in features and usability.

> **Cons**: When used by multiple users simultaneously accessing one file at once, it does manifest stability issues at times which greatly disrupts team productivity.

> It does the job \& enables large \& complex estimates to be constructed in a quick and efficient manner.
