I love the increased features that QuickBooks desktop has versus the online software version specifically the ability to integrate business bank accounts and I love the ability to back up all files onto a computer instead of online where it’s backed up to a cloud and is at risk for it to be corrupted or lost at any time

Thing I like least about QuickBooks desktop is all the steps you have to go to in order to open and close the program so that your files always stay up-to-date. I feel like they should implement or create a easier start up and close out function.

The ease of creating invoices for our business and the user friendly features.

Have not had anything I do not like about QuickBooks

Strong functionality and stability for a small business accounting software.

Not as flexible or customizable as the online version. I don't see any advantage to not using a cloud-based product at this point.

Best software for small business.
Very user-friendly and minimal errors.

No controls or segregation of duties at all which might be a good thing in small businesses but bad for mid-size

Ease of use. The tabs are very logical to use and find how to do anything.

That the software is being phased out to be replaced by QB online.

Local setup and much secure. For a small team this is a great setup. Especially for us, as we wanted to integrate with our CRM software.

Remote access was an issue in this case.

How intricately you can code items in different accounts

Sometimes experience glitch issues with payroll section also experience delays in processing sometimes which can be confusing.

We had to move to online for payroll aswell as Hmrc digital

QB desktop offers plenty of customization tools to allow you to maximize its features for your business. You can create and save many different custom reports and its ease of use allows you to find discrepancies in your data more efficiently.

The system could use a design update and be more effective in its multi-user mode functionality.

This product is so easy to use. It has so many features and makes my job so much easier.

I wish I could take it on the go or use it when I am working from home, but I guess that is what QuickBooks Online is for.

QuickBooks desktop is the most comprehensive accounting software that we’ve ever used for our small business.

The ability to log in remotely. At the very least the ability to review our books remotely.

I like the fact that wring checks is so easy. If you need to make a change to the check, it is as easy as can be. The account detail reports are great. I like how you can split amounts into different accounting codes, etc.

The only thing I would change about QuickBooks is we should have a designated customer service person when we have an issue.

The program is easy to use. There are many reports that can be adapted to your needs. I was not properly trained and have managed to navigate and do everything I need to do. The find feature is excellent and can find transactions easily by check number, amount, name, etc. It's much better on the desktop than the online version. We have been using Quickbooks for many years and have had a great experience with it.

It's no longer being supported with security and updates, so we have to transition to online. Aside from that, it was hard that we only had two local computers with the program, so if we needed access from another location, we had to use a remote desktop. There's nothing from the cloud with multiple users.

How easy it is to use. It's one of the best accounting programs out there and I highly recommend using it to everyone.

That they are trying to do away with the Desktop version. I love everything about QuickBooks desktop.

It is user-friendly, but you have know the basic principles of accounting.
Reporting tools and customization options . Job costing reports are most sophisticated.

Ease of use and able to customize to fit our businesses' desires and needs. We can create custom reports, invoices, Chart of accounts to help us to track our business' financial health.

Cost. Since it's a paid software, some of us finds its cost a bit high especially for small businesses and or freelancers with limited budgets

I really like the fact that it is easy to use. Ease of use and ability to get help when needed via the chat.

I really do not have any cons at the present time. I have been using it for over a year.

That is was robust enough for both small and mid-size companies

being locked to a location based solution was what we liked least

Love the report centre. It has everything

Takes more time than online version and obviously you need to be where you're desktop is located. Online can be done from anywhere.

QuickBooks Desktop is easy to learn and to teach others, who have never used it. It integrates with other software, like UPS and credit card processing, so that you don't have to manually post.

We use estimates for our customers. When we are finished, we turn the estimates into invoices, but the estimates don't go away. Have to manually delete the estimates--would like to have these eliminated automatically when invoice is made.

I love that I can run as many companies as I want under the same desktop subscription. The price is good, and the user interface is crisp & clean, unlike some online software I have used.

It's less efficient / automated to collaborate on a company file with Desktop Pro, than online accounting software.
