Because of its popularity, OBS Studio has a lot of available content on the internet so any questions I have are easily solved with a quick search. I use it to record myself for trainings, to record my screen for multiple reasons, and even to live stream when necessary.
Pros
The easy screen recording capabilities allows me to save and edit my training videos and it's easy to understand.
Cons
Nothing. OBS is essential software for screen recording, and even live streaming.

I use OBS to do my live stream on my sports channel and it has made my work easier. The OBS Studio has some benefits, the quality of video being recorded are high and has multi-stream capability thus making my work easier.
Pros
The artwork in OBS is on another level, and what made me attracted to this software is the greenscreen tool its fantastic it enables you to change your background in an amazing way especially when you are live streaming.
Cons
One of the features that normally make me bored is the feature of multi-streams whereby it requires a quality graphic interface card and it's not that easy especially when doing doubles streams.

I usually use it mostly for small company jobs to record some training but above all I use obs to broadcast on other platforms
Pros
When recording the screen you can get clear audio and the flow of what is being recorded is not slow, good FPS and above all not having watermarks in the middle of the video.
I think the FPS that the recording can handle and the quality of it is what it is best at, plus you can also record the black screen and only get the audios.
I have not used this option much but from the little that I have used it, it is very useful to be able to have all your screens and simply place in visual what you want from each of them.
Cons
I have a complaint here and it is that some tools are a little complex for someone who has not used them before, sometimes you must be guided by a video on YouTube to be able to obtain the maximum benefits, but outside of those it has very good complements

I think the ability to customize features - say remux automation so that you don't have to pick the files you want to remux afterwards, it would just do it automatically.

It became a tool that has become more useful the more you use it...
Pros
Well works on Linux and Windows, once past the setup curve you can leave it as a set and forget tool for others to use
Cons
The profiles could use some work eg I use different output resolutions for different jobs. It would be nice that one profile is set for all settings needed for a particular job including all the scenes and sources for that profile including hotkeys and so on. So you could set one profile up copy and base a new profile with way different sources and scenes and output resolution

Doesn't ruin performance of device you are using, while recording. It is easy to setup, really customizable. And very streamer friendly! All good about this app!
Cons
Probably that new users can have problem with understanding Scenes and all that about making right scene to record or use. But thats is learnable!

OBS Studio has been fantastic for screen recording: helping me clip, lightly edit and prepare gameplay videos to share with colleagues and promote my game.
It's also a solid tool for streaming (I used it with Twitch). Overlays were easy, and with a helping hand, it was honestly quite painless.
Honestly, if you need to capture video, you should just use OBS unless you have a good reason not to.
Pros
OBS Studio is easy to use, easy to set up, basically just works and it's *free*. It's nice to know that I'm supporting open source software, but frankly, I use it because it's simply better than everything else in the space.
Cons
There's a lot to learn as you get started, and additional tooltips or explanations about what all of the obscure audio and video choices you make actually mean would be really helpful as a beginner.

Using OBS Studio has been a game-changer for my content creation endeavors. Pros
When we need to push out video content that is guiding/assisting our sales staff with new processes, OBS makes it quite easy to achieve. After a quick 15 min crash course with our staff that want to use OBS, it is fairly easy to help them build and push out learning material for our retail team members.
Cons
It can be at some times a little tedious to use for particular users but nothing that can't be resolved over a quick 15-30min crash course on the proper usage of it.
