Having tried several of the competitors that have apps for Amazon Fire Sticks, this one had all the features I wanted, allowed full and free use to try things out with a single screen and generally made my life easier than the competitors I explored.
Pros
It's easy to use. The free options give full features for a single screen, the prices for adding extra screens are reasonable too. The solution works flawlessly using the Yodeck app on an Amazon Fire Stick, which means no special equipment is needed ... as long as you have a Wifi connection available.
If you pay for a year at a time, Yodeck even give you a free Raspberry Pi player.
So far, I've only pointed Yodeck at webpages which I maintain and fed it still images, but it can also handle video, audio and other sources if you opt for a the premium or enterprise plan.
I've only used the free and basic plans. Yodeck and other providers have fuller featured options, but the extra options came with complexity and expense and in my case simply weren't needed.
Cons
I had previously used a Raspberry Pi as one of my Yodeck players, which worked perfectly once set up, but the initial set up was fiddly. The process may have improved since then, however.
Reasons for Switching to Yodeck
Access to the main features without payment allowed easy testing. And as we could use already available equipment, a Fire Stick, we could get started at zero cost. Pricing was a major factor as we're using it as part of a not-for-profit event. Being able to upgrade and downgrade our package between the plans means we never need to pay for features we aren't using.- Industry: Nonprofit Organization Management

Pros
I was exploring options for a content display system for our IT Service Desk marketing and metric information, and found that with no previous experience with the product I was able to get integrate it seemlessly and have it up and running and displaying relevant content in minutes. It displays our information daily, and can be programmed to turn on/off at predetermined times. If/when I need to make adjustments to the content I want to display it can be prepared without affecting what is currently being displayed, and when ready it is applied with a click of the button. Customer support is there via chat and respond in a timely manner. There are online options for simple implementations, or hardware player options for larger implementations. I highly recommend it for any organisation or team.
Cons
I am currently waiting on development team to provide an option for content that requires systems to allow GET instead of POST requests.

I recently had the unfortunate experience of using the Yodeck application, and it left me thoroughly disappointed and frustrated. The issues I encountered ranged from constant glitches to an overly complicated setup process, coupled with abysmal customer support. As a potential customer, my experience has undoubtedly led me to reconsider my decision to purchase a player and license from Yodeck.
First and foremost, the application's performance was far from satisfactory. Glitches were a constant companion, interrupting the smooth operation of the platform. This significantly undermined the reliability of Yodeck, making it difficult to trust the application for seamless content management.
The setup process, touted to be user-friendly, turned out to be quite the opposite. The complexity of the installation and configuration procedures made the entire experience more challenging than it should be. For a user like me, seeking an intuitive and straightforward solution, Yodeck fell short of expectations.
Adding to the frustration was the customer support, which proved to be utterly inadequate. When attempting to address the glitches and seek assistance with the setup, I encountered delays, unhelpful responses, and an overall lack of responsiveness. The level of support I experienced did not instill confidence in the company's commitment to customer satisfaction.
Considering the myriad issues I faced during my trial of Yodeck, I have decided to take a hard pass on purchasing a player and license. The combination of glitches, a convoluted setup process, and subpar customer support does not make for a compelling case for investing in this platform. Potential users should be wary of the challenges they may encounter and carefully consider whether Yodeck aligns with their expectations and requirements before making a commitment.

With Yodeck I am now able to show important data like Appointments, Driving duration (per Power Automate as Teams News), PowerBI-Reports and other Data on one Screen. I do not have to follow links and look for the Data, once setup it works. Also during visiting hours the screens show other data so that my customers don't see internals. Thats a really great helper for myself and also my wife who also sees her appointments on screen(my workplace is at home). Would recommend and will do.
Pros
What I like best about Yodeck is the uncomplicated registration/login, especially with Microsoft 365. Screens, Playlists and Apps are good to set up, connections to Microsoft works and you get what you see. Implementing Business Apps like Sharepoint News is a great feature for longer news where you can go to the full Newssite by QR-code, for short news Teams Integration works really well. Even with Images and Videos. With this Features and without the need for multiple User Accounts to Setup Screens one Admin is able to set up for different Teams and they can themself put Data to the Screens (and delete them) as often as they please. Until now there was no need to contact Customer Support. And all this for an unbeatable price in relation to other competitors.
Cons
Unfortunately not everything regarding Microsoft 365 is implemented yet. The biggest "problem" is, there is no Implementation of OneDrive Folders for easy display of Images or PDFs (but you can work around this with Sharepoint News or Teams News, but this needs a bit more user interaction). Also there is no support for AppleTV/iOS, this would bring the possibilities to share over different existing teams and setups to a higher level.

Due to the extreme customization, I could see that slowing people down as there was not a lot of help or guidance on reverse engineering from your envisioned finished product teaching you how to get there.
Pros
Yodeck is easy to use overall. It is customizable for your situation, so a good plan during initial setup will help your operation run well.
Cons
There is not as much automation as I'd like and the back end is less intuitive than ideal.

Pros
Simplicity of operation and set up, super responsive support (proactive), cost of operation. Coming from BrightSign, all of these are incredible.
Cons
Honestly, nothing on Yodeck side. The biggest challenge was getting Yodeck software to run on a couple of BrightSign devices we still wanted to use but the difficulty came from BrightSign devices, not Yodeck.

Pros
Easiest to use digital sign software of a dozen I have tried. We have three screens in three different buildings and I can have different times for each building to be on or off as well as unique content to each screen. I especially like that content can expire, I run a theatre so it’s nice to be able to advertise upcoming shows then they are automatically removed after their scheduled end.
Cons
I wish video transcoding had an option to toggle off without having to reach out to tech support but they have responded quickly the couple of times I have reached out.

The onboarding was simple. A rep walked us through the process. The hardware came ready to use. The only thing left for the end user is to manage content. We load our announcement slides and set the date each one will expire, assign the slides to the desired monitors, and let Yodeck do all the work. We even use a severe weather alert feed because our area has experienced several catastrophic weather events.
Pros
Yodeck does everything we need (and more) than a service we had before for price that is affordable for any size organization. The service expands as your organization expands its implementation. We had another very similar service that increased their fee to $2500/year for two unique digital sign outputs. We have expanded the number of digital signs for a fraction of the cost.
Cons
In our church, we use the live video feed capability and there is a 1-2 second delay. In many situations the delay would be imperceivable but since our worship center and our atrium (where we use the live video fee) are adjacent, the delay is noticeable. We can live with it, but I wish there was less delay. This probably will not be an issue for most users who do not need to send a live video/audio signal through Yodeck from a production control room.

Yodeck is way ahead of its time and very underrated in terms of its package and offerings. It allows your imagination to grow with the many possibilities with its functionality and publication system. The software is reliable easy to understand and comes at a fair price for commercial uses or personal. Multi screen PIP (picture in picture) is what i liked the most. Controlling the screen is what we want and Yodeck delivers just that brilliantly.
Cons
Hard to say. Maybe the pricing can be reviewed as we are living in a very competitive age with very advance tech out the. For example there is hologram tech that has been on the market of digital signage for quiet some time.

So we improved the quality of our production over what we used before. (an outsourced product.) Secondarily, we saved a pile of money because Yodeck is such an affordable solution compared to outsourced digital signage competitors.

Yodeck is an essential tool projecting our healthcare organization's cutlure to the audience that matter the most- caregivers. Yodeck is the answer to two important questions: "How do we project our culture to persons who visit our care center?" and "how do we project Palm Garden culture to our caregivers?" I'm able to project Palm Garden Mission, Vision and Values in our own cultural voice and "premier provider" 5-Star brand.

Yodeck is super simple to setup and manage. Adding other users to help push out new playlists is also very easy and helpful. If a player goes offline for any reason a notification is sent to my email letting me know the status. The platform is very stable and everything is managed over a Wi-Fi connection.
Cons
Honestly cannot think of a single thing to dislike!

2. Remote control and status --- even when away from the location.

Only a couple small areas are lacking.
1. Need roku player
2. Admin website could be more mobile friendly
3. No admin app on mobile.
None of these issues are show stoppers for us.

The ability to test out and try Yodeck for free was the major selling point. Other softwares were expensive to test out and couldn't be tested on hardware we already had.
Cons
I wish the Windows installation was a little smoother. It is fairly clunky and has some bugs. It took contacting support about 3 times in order to get all of the Windows installation bugs worked through.

We need to inform our members of large amounts of information (including events, deadlines, dates, activities, seasonal vision casting, etc.) across our campus AND be able to present that information in different ways. Yodeck allows us to create whatever layout configurations we need specific for each part of our organization.
Pros
Yodeck is the most flexible digital signage solution ever. With their addition of the web based players, literally any screen can become a digital sign (for a price). I also like that I can build my own rpi and bring it into the ecosystem fairly easily. The customization for playlists, layouts, schedules, etc., is just ridiculous. There are so many options to literally have whatever you want.
Cons
Sometimes the dashboard UI is a little sluggish, clunky. For example, sometimes with saving certain videos it seems like the encoding process doesn't start. I have to delete it and reupload. A minor annoyance for sure. Also, pricing tier is fine, but I wish there were more bundling options (more displays at better discounts), but I guess I am cheap.

When I started working with yodeck portal I noticed a lot of other functionalities which I could use. Currently its main signage solution which could be used on other building in UK.
Pros
In yodeck I mostly like clear and easy to use UI which could be used by people without technical skills. Most people who have experience with Microsoft PowerPoint would like creator delivered by yodeck to prepare content on digital signage.
Cons
When I manage a large amount of content, I can't quickly identify which layouts are currently in use on some of playlists or monitors.

So far the team at yodeck should support a weekends support team and update their FAQ dynamically in order to answer most of the customers questions and not leave these from granted, I couldn't find an answer to one question I got in the weekend and had to wait to next available working week day.

My overall experience with Yodeck has been highly positive. It's transformed the way I manage digital signage, making it more effective and less time-consuming. The benefits of streamlined content management, enhanced audience engagement, and operational efficiency have significantly outweighed the minor drawbacks. Yodeck has proven to be a reliable and valuable tool for my business's digital signage needs.
Pros

The flexibility in supporting various media types and the robustness of features like remote display management, multi-screen support, and content scheduling greatly enhanced my ability to communicate effectively with my audience. The reliability of the system and the excellent customer support are also major positives, ensuring a smooth and hassle-free experience.
Cons
The least appealing aspect of Yodeck for me was the initial learning curve, which might be a bit challenging for absolute beginners. Additionally, the pricing, while offering good value, could be a consideration for smaller businesses or those on tighter budgets. Lastly, occasional software glitches, though swiftly resolved, did cause minor interruptions.

Overall, I think the onboarding process is top notch and I really doubt there's any other company who is willing to spend one-on-one time getting each customer set up the way YoDeck does, especially for the price! It's only a few dollars per month per screen, they included the hardware, and they provided personalized setup and support. There's really nothing to complain about! We have only had one potential point of confusion, and the company listened to our concern and took it seriously. We have no doubt that YoDeck is looking into it and will address things appropriately as needed. There are lots of plug-ins to make the signage work with various software, they have a great selection of templates and animations, and there are so many ways to turn tvs/screens/monitors into displays through hardware options or YoDeck apps in various app stores. We'd highly recommend trying YoDeck first!
Pros
The whole experience of getting set up is as easy as it can be! Our company chose an annual plan, which included free hardware for running our digital signage. It arrived with all of the software pre-installed and configured, so we only had to plug it into the tv and turn it on! It even had our network credentials already set up and ready to go. Once it arrived, their support team scheduled a personalized one-on-one conference call with us to walk us through how to use their web software for running the signage and sent us helpful links and contact info for future inquiries. I feel like they really went above and beyond!
Cons
I mostly don't have anything I don't like. The only small feedback that I gave YoDeck is that there seems to be confusion with date and time input when it comes to scheduling content times. I might want content to display from Jan 1 to Dec 31 between 9am and 5pm, but some screens and support reps interpret that as running non-stop from Jan 1 at 9am until Dec 31 at 5pm, while other understand that we mean daily from Jan 1 until Dec 31 with content starting each day at 9am and ending at 5pm. We did already relay this concern/potential confusion to YoDeck and they said they are taking a look at it to ensure that everything works as intended, and it may possibly have just been confusion or miscommunication on the part of tech support about how the related software screens work.
