Very good overall experience with quickbooks online

I previously used Google Sheets / Excel to manage payroll and accounting for a former small business so switching to Quickbooks has made accounting so much easier.

Annoying and infuriating. It felt like they were just screwing with us and seeing how much they could charge us while at the same time removing features that had previously been included in our subscription

Fantastic. We love how easy it is to set up. The integrations with our bank and credit card company are seamless. We also like how easy navigation is.

Impressive and ease to navigate. I love the generosity of the reporting options. And with the flexibility to customize forms and reports with the Advance version

We use QBO for all our accounting functions.

Used Desktop online for more than 10 years. Moved to QBO in 2023. Like the ability to access data across multiple devices.

I liked QuickBooks but ultimately decided to use a less expensive software because they had the same features.

The overall experience is good, but I can't rely on it working when necessary. The software overall is quite powerful, but confusing error messages are common, and tech support is not very helpful. I use the software for my business, but I don't think it lives up to the hefty price tag.

It serves it's purpose and allows our executive staff and accounting staff to interact regarding financials sufficiently enough.

Unfortunately my customer service experience with them has been atrocious. Even their “trained” customer service representatives don’t know what they are doing.

Overall, QBO is an efficient product and a well-trained bookkeeper could scale tremendously with this cloud based software. However, if you're new, you're going to get confused about the various levels of subscriptions. What new service will be behind a new paywall in the future?

I am enjoying using the online version and look forward to all the incentives for bringing and setting up clients, like revenue share and affiliate commissions. QB still remains the easiest and most valued bookkeeping software that I will recommend. There are video tutorials for literally everything.

It is really buggy. It skipped some of my captures from my bank accounts and it double counted some of what I was capturing without it actually being double entry. It threw off my numbers by forcing me to integrate with PayPal.

I moved from running a rental business on a Desktop version to running Healthcare company on the Online version and its just so much easier and less time consuming - reports are easier to run and you can manipulate the data you need for what your business is for.

Pitiful and frustrating, can't get anyone other that general technical support on the phone and they don't give a shit that I am locked out of our business account due to they own system failing with no safe guard in place to avoid it.

QuickBooks Online is horrendous. The system is slow to do anything, it seems every task takes longer than QuickBooks Desktop. It takes days to process payments; keep being told a "glitch" that flags EVERY payment as suspicious. Clients are getting angry it takes so long to process payments. The system cannot handle the size of the payments going through; although only a few clients pay by credit card, the ones that do is disastrous. We will be canceling the payments add-on. I am trying to get ALL my clients off QuickBooks online and to go to a different program.

Overall, my experience with QuickBooks Online has been very positive. It’s a powerful tool that balances ease of use with robust functionality. The accessibility and integrations have significantly improved my ability to manage finances efficiently. While there are occasional challenges in navigating the reporting features, they are outweighed by the benefits the software provides. Over time, as you get used to its layout and features, it becomes an indispensable tool for financial management.

You can tell that QuickBooks is starting to integrate directly with other services which has its pros and cons. The fact that it’s prettty specific on certain integrations makes it seem more like a limiting monopoly than a truly large business asset you can’t live without. It’s pretty telling when any good accountant dreads having to work within QuickBooks to do any accounting. It’s more of a hub for people that need basic, limiting accounting, that are willing to integrate other apps that have partnered or are owned by QuickBooks. The cost you pay you would think their would be more of a CRM integration with QuickBooks or a sister product for overall business management and quoting/invoicing. However, we’re planning to totally move away because the cost has gotten insane.

Quickbooks Online has streamlined our accounting more than we realized was possible. Rather than having all of our satellite locations send in raw data to our central office to be processed then entered, we have been able to train our offsite managers in how to enter payments and other information. The checks and balances provided assures that we are not having payments “disappear,” and it also has allowed us to reallocate resources to more vital areas.

I am happy with QuickBooks Online because it makes running a business easy. I am able to view and pay bills along with send out invoices all through QuickBooks. I am able to run reports on open orders and helps me stay on top of things.
