In general, the software is able to generate videos from scripts quite well. What I like most is that the video clips used do not interfere with the message one is seeking to convey. Editing and advanced editing are also fairly easy.

A voice-over feature with readymade voices will be a nice touch to the video creation process.

In this app, I think there are not any cons.

The software was pretty easy to use, changing between formats for Facebook to IGTV was simple. If you enter a link/blog piece it would extract the text and create a template video for you to start working with which is good.

There are a lot of glitches with the software and it does not allow for customizations. For example, I tried exporting a video numerous times throughout a week and the audio and video was continuously out of sync even after I had reached out to customer support.

It also doesn't allow for customizations like increasing the volume of the music. If you want to upload your own video and have music overlay in the background that is not possible which interrupts the flow of the video and taking away from the professionalism.

You also can't adjust the amount of text on the screen, or adjust the size of the text, or customize the placement. There are set placements for text (bottom of the screen, top of the screen) And you can't deviate from that. There is a sliding scale for text size so if you want it to be any bigger or smaller than the presets that option is not available.

The options for background music are mediocre, some of them are really strange and it takes a lot of work searching through to find a decent soundtrack.

This is a pretty cool and easy way to generate high quality videos from blog posts/existing content. Overall, I like how it scans your content and then lays out a suggested video with images and motion animation. It also allows you to select music to give your videos more depth.

Some of the editing features are limited and lacking. This in a way keeps the production process simple and saves time, yet at times can be a bit frustrating when you'd like more options.

It's really cool to use Lumen 5 to edit videos and create unique content.

The free plan already provides many options to use, I can create videos with images or just texts that I don't appear on.

For those who are embarrassed to show up, this is very good.

There is an excellent option in Lumen 5 that allows me to capture my Blog content, such as articles and automatically convert it to videos. This saves me a lot of work time.

Some people complain about posting something with watermarks, but that doesn't bother me, I think if I'm using something from a brand, it's because it's being useful. So we have more to disclose.

I find it very practical to create with this tool, it's totally different from conventional editors, but it's very good and easy to use.

I just choose a template and automatically the video is created. This is perfect and saves a lot of time.

I have no disagreements with Lumen 5 , a word against this tool is totally unnecessary.

I really like Lumen5. It's super easy to use and provides professional like video from just a piece of text. There is no excuse to start a YouTube channel or post videos regularly on social media.

It's a bit pricey. I'd also like to see more templates and more animations.

Easy to use, most importantly it is highly professional and attractive.
I like music and all features.
I think most of contacts and connection will go for it sooner than later.

What I liked least about this software was when it failed to reach the URL I entered.

I instantly became a huge fan for this tool because of how easy it is to create Videos for your Content Marketing or Video Creation. Their Machine Learning is great! It automatically customize the duration of a "Slide" to the amount of text you inputted.

That's really a time-saver for most of us! I will also going to add the vast amount of customization you can do when you create your own Video, and this sometimes can overwhelm you in a good way. Furthermore, the Stock Images, Text, Audio, etc., is huge! Customize what you need and with their Machine Learning... Videos are rich and amazing.

Maybe the duration of the conversion takes long but it produces the best quality so it outweighs the Cons. Customize Search can be improved.

Helpful to make videos easily either of yourself or showing your screen (or both!). Have used it to teach coworkers how to do a few steps of a process and it’s easy to make a video and share it

Nothing stands out as amazing but there isn’t anything really bad about it either. With videos it would always be nice to get filter options

I love that Lumen gives me the ability to make short videos of my blogs. The pictures it chooses for the video 95% of the time match perfectly with the contents of the blog.
The templates are beautiful, I use them for youtube videos but they have well-structured template variation options for different aspect ratios such as 1:1 for Instagram.
I have never seen any other video tool giving the option of creating videos from the blog feed i.e instant videos which Lumen5 does. This is my go-to feature and saves me so much time.

I am on a plan which doesn't give a brand kit customization option so it takes additional time in customization, but I use the instant video option so I already have a video 95% premade so it works for me.

Lumen5 is awesome. In about 5 minutes you can take any text, whether from a blog post or just copy and pasted into the tool, and create high quality 'Business Insider' style videos with just a few clicks. It's a great and convenient way to keep up with the demands of constantly needing to push out video for use on social media. The fact that you can upload your own images and videos to use in the different scenes also means that you can use this tool to create truly stunning client assets in a fraction of the time.

Once you input your script, whether its from a link to a blog post, or copy and pasted in... you can't edit it. You *can* add a line or two manually, but I've found the system doesn't do its job as well on the automated creative side if you do this. That means that if you find you want to add any text to your script after you've already started a video, your best and fastest option is just to head back to your dashboard and start fresh.

I love that Lumen5 has made creating a video from an article so easy with such great-looking results.

Customization of fonts and styles was limited, but has recently expanded and so I'm continuing to use this tool more often.

The software is very user-friendly and makes professional social videos, sized for different platforms. The video can be customized with your campaign logo and the highlight can be set to a specific color using the hex code from design files.

The two major cons: 1) It takes forever to render the video once created. 2) The highlight can only be placed on one section of the text, not in two different sections. That makes picking what to highlight a little tricky and it's not always exactly what you want.

I had to spend hours on creating video content for my business. Lumen5 has optimized my time, now I'm able to create videos from posts in 5 minutes. I also have access to a wide range oh high quality images

The subscription is pricey. It will improve if templates and more text style options are added. Also, Video recording should be supported too.

I love the instant videos feature. Posts from my website are extracted automatically to Lumen 5 and instantly are ready for further editing. I also love the brand preset feature, where your logo, branding colors, fonts etc are set up only once and then are available any time with one click.

I find their starter plan expensive for someone who does not a heavy content creator and needs it a couple of time during the month.

I love Lumen5 for short videos and animated videos for my social media clients. It truly is easy to easy and has a great user interface!

I usually do not like to complain about prices but Lumen5 is pricey! Starting at $19/month, on top of other services that I pay for as a marketing consultant, this seems a bit steep!

I really like when we shifted our content marketing from Blogs to Videos. Lumen5 Made it more simple by just entering the link, It captures the content and the images in the link to create a video.

It sometimes grabs other images in the page and It seems to be a bit overpriced from my standpoint.

I got a year's use of their higher tier for free. That's really about all I can say in terms of pros.

The slides weren't broken up in a way that made sense. The photos and videos the program chose to accompany the text didn't relate to the text, and very often there were limited resources available to use with the text for the videos. There was just not enough relevance and the videos took too much time to edit that it wasn't workable for me.
