Managing tasks and overdues was quite challenging which would lead to stressful workdays. But with ClickUp the story is different. I enjoy my time at work because ia m able to organize my workstreams and work swiftly with my team to deliver quality results

Pros

ClickUp is a platform that is quite affordable for any business. It's intuitive UI makes it easy to adopt and use in any workspace. ClickUp is an indispensable tool for everyone due to it's comprehensivity. Accessibility in a mobile app is amazing that Iam able to update a task or even have a glance over my work from my phone. Customization allowance with the flexible inbuilt templates that saves me time when making task entries is awesome and create an appealing dashboard . Also I can have an overview over my overdues, tasks in multiple ways. Where I can sort them using the time factors or even filter or group them . Another feature I find majorly important is seamless collaboration between teams working on certain financial reports. We get to know who is working on what, converse through realtime chatting, get notifications updates, can send email directly send any document attachment and assign action items to team members which has greatly improved the productivity of our accounting team . Real time creation and visualization of reports is impeccable and the Gannt Chart feature makes it easy to report each details to our seniors

Cons

I have been able to overcome any issue I have encountered with ClickUp using the loads of information available online and with the help of it's world class technical support team that responsive 24/7

It has been a great program to use. It has allowed us to streamline our workflow and make everyone's lives a bit easier at the office.

Again, initial setup headaches are there when learning everything that this software can do.

Pros

So much that can be down within the platform. Makes tracking and coordinating projects and inventory very simple.

Cons

Good task/workflow tool for agencies to keep track of each other's tasks for particular clients.

Pros

Easy to use tool, quickly creating an overview of tasks, assign it to people and keep track of tasks for our clients.

The effectiveness of Clickup really depends on how you set it up. We have tried different setups, sometimes all clients in one space, sometimes a space per client. It depends how your company is structured, how tasks are divided among people, how to set it up.

Cons

It is not always as clear as we would, but as mentioned above, it depends how you set the account up.

First, have good look at how Clickup works, then make a blueprint and then start rolling it out.

It's convenient to be able to chain actions together and prevent one from being finished until another is. If you want to keep tabs on your team's stats but don't want to spend hours poring through Excel, this dashboard is for you. I hope there will be a wide variety of widgets in the near future.

Pros

Having the flexibility to use Clickup for purposes beyond project management. Using it to oversee several different divisions. For instance, IT management includes overseeing all IT-related roadmaps, assets, procedures, and Software updates. We have automated our systems to the point where we no longer have to bother about routine tasks like ensuring that our contracts are up for renewal.

Cons

Formulas lose some of their usefulness in some contexts, and that bothers me. Having access to a real-time log of automations would also be helpful for testing purposes. The ability to arrange automations rather than just appending them to a list is also desirable.

The experience has been very fruitful and very friendly. It was able to solve our needs the way we wanted it to and thanks to it, all we have now a well organized working framework which allows us to focus on our work while work together as a team. ClickUp allows us to speed up projects completion time while still keeping a clear focus on the end results.

Pros

One particular advantage we see with using ClickUp is that we use one product to solve multiple problems from collaboration, work planning, tracking work management and so on. This reduces the number of products in our working infrastructure. ClickUp allows us to set goals, plan and organize our project work and this helps us focus on the important work first. Communication is always simple with real-time chatting option.

Cons

ClickUp has been solving all our needs majestically and there no more we need from it other than what we are getting.

Pros

I not only recommend this to clients as a consultant, I actually use it for managing my own projects. I really love having an all in one solution for managing tasks that allowed for some creativity and versatility. Click up has a great deal of functionality and features, some of which I’m still learning to master so while it can seem overwhelming, they make work flow processes far less daunting. Customer service has been great the few time’s I’ve had issues. Love the integrations available but need to master use.

Cons

The learning curve is a bit more steep if you desire to maximize functionality/use. I have yet to use all of the functions but of what I have used, there isn’t much I don’t like. Learning to manage notifications was key because of the frequency but overall no complaints.

Absolutely horrible - spend hours looking for guidance to get it to be a functional, useful product, but the only guidance is for complete beginners. Then, after all that precious time, it stops working. No easy way to rectify - I'm not signing up separately to a damn help centre. Awful product. Worthless.

Pros

Nothing - can't test it out properly before being hit with an unexpected paywall. What's worse than poor functionality is an enormous waste of time. So much so that I'd rather waste more time letting as many people as I can know how infuriating it is to be misled.

Cons

Spend hours learning the Gantt chart functionality, believing it is free, then hit with paid sign-up before overcoming the learning curve, not to mention you can't seem to colour code Gantt tasks. Absolutely infuriating.

Overall ClickUp is the one-stop shop for all things related to task, time, and project management. Our company doesn't have to go out and get a tool for time management in addition to project management. Nope, everything is all bundled into one large system and it makes it so much easier to become familiar with.

Pros

I love that this tool offers so very many solutions for my company's needs. From employee time tracking to task management to project communication, the platform is terrific! It enables everyone from upper management to entry-level to be held accountable for the overall workflow and success of our clients. ClickUp has so many features that you can get a little lost in the shuffle but it gives the peace of mind that it'll do whatever you need it to so long as you spend a little time in the system setting it up the way you need it.

I loved ClickUp when I started using it 6-12 months ago. We use it for task management for our client campaigns. Almost all of these campaigns require the tasks to be created outside of the system but then placed into the system using Integromat or Zapier. These connectors worked great until they didn't. Now we're reliant on ClickUp and they won't fix the problems. This is the biggest issue I have, but I have another list as long as my leg with smaller issues. Go to their ClickUppers Facebook Group and you'll see how people have shifted on this company. If I sound mad, it's because I am. We trusted ClickUp to be the "app to replace them all", to be reliable, and to be something we can create company processes around. What happens when your company does all that (like we did), and ClickUp decides to focus more on new features and growth (to appease investors), rather than fix what breaks? You built a company on the backs of your customers, ClickUp, at least do right by them by fixing what breaks.

Pros

Well-built Integromat and Zapier connectors (that has since changed.)

Ability to make a List View public (for client reporting needs)

The ability to create and embed data in a ClickUp Doc that allows you to have pages. This is nice because you can create your own little reporting center that's organized by pages that is viewable from a simple link. (this is still the case, but embedding outside sources doesn't work so now we're out of luck.)

Cons

I'm not even looking for awesome new features, I just want ClickUp to break what fixes and give enterprise-level customers (like me), some degree of added benefit. Their white-label feature is useless because it still uses the ClickUp loading icon. Using the software with any degree of automation whether with their own tools or through Zapier/Integromat is totally unreliable. Their support is pointless unless you have an issue that is extremely easy to fix.

Clickups lived up to the promise when Jira couldn't

We use clickups to manage a range of projects across different areas. Software development, bug fixing, SEO and SEO and of course content management on behalf of the clients.

Pros

Switching from Jira to Clickups was very easy. We were already working in agile manner and the team was across workflows. Clickups just provided a faster easier mechanism to achieve better results.

Cons

At first it looked like there were way too many options and configurations to Clickups, but after jumping in the ease of use made the complexity disappear.

Alternatives Considered

Easy Redmine and Asana

Reasons for Choosing ClickUp

Jira is tired and old fashioned. Clickups has a slick UX using modern single page application architecture. They did not have 15+ years of installed base to keep happy along with an application which is still basically fill in the form and submit. As a result Clickups (and I suspect others) have built an application which smashes Jira for performance and UX. It is such a pleasure to be able to drag stuff into lists as you need it, get self calculating columns, where you need them and allow the dev, QA and client delivery team to just get their work done without the clunky UX or performance of an old architected application. Click here and instantly everything updates. Automations are simple and easy to configure without messing around and work as expected straight away. We never get logged out mid step due to some obscure issue they have with their architecture.

Highly Versatile for Personal Use and Teams

Reviewed on 14/04/2019

ClickUp is the only free application that is powerful enough to work primarily as my personal productivity system. I use it to track my daily routines and remember to complete tasks by certain dates. Moreover, I've found it incredibly useful to outline processes and systems through subtasks and checklists, to help me create each blog post. Consequently, it is very simple for me to go through my checklists which probably saves my time and mental energy.

Furthermore, it acts well as a huge database of things I need to do.

Pros

Due to a rich collection of features, ClickUp is very flexible thus a great app for the personal productivity system of a power user: I think it is best suited as an all-in-one place to put task items and have them organised. For instance, you can view tasks in a board, calendar, or list and view different scopes at different levels of task organisation. Also, custom fields allow further customisation of tasks, with templates to preserve ideal skeletons of tasks.

Moreover, navigation is easy with various search functions and their respective hotkeys. The notepad (in the app and the browser extension) is great for remembering ideas and converting them into tasks later, since it saves a lot of time.

Having apps on multiple platforms makes it convenient to use, alongside an abundance of integration opportunities (namely Google Calendar and PomoDoneApp, which is especially powerful when using tools such as Zapier.

Official documentation, as well as a place to request features, are useful, too.

Cons

While certain features can be enabled/disabled between different "spaces", the vast number of features and controls can be, to some extent, intimidating and overwhelming. For this reason, it is a good idea to spend some time getting to know the software and how to use it.

For example, I've found the recurring tasks to be quite confusing due to the sheer number of options—even for a simple daily recurring task. As a result, I've had to document when to use each setting for myself. With that said, I would like to see recurring tasks become even more intelligent by having recurrences depend on the "type" of day as well as the ability to suspend recurring tasks. This could be useful for a student with schooldays and non-schooldays, for example.

Additionally, the notepad browser extension is unnecessarily floating above each webpage, so it would be better if it could be accessed solely by the extension button in the browser toolbar.

Although ClickUp is simple to understand for just about anyone, it has a tonne of in-depth features that make it incredibly strong and adaptable. The site can be improved in ways that are pertinent to our team thanks to their ongoing upgrades, which also serve as a beneficial feedback loop. ClickUp is simple to template when necessary and simple to customise when necessary, giving you the ideal balance of time savings and the precise project requirements. The ClickUp team is very open with their users and pays close attention to their feedback so that the platform can be continually improved.

Pros

To begin with Powerful project management options are available with ClickUp. The list view makes project or task planning simple. You can delegate work, establish priorities, and keep tabs on the progress. You can add other views to your space, like Gantt, Timeline, Kanban, and more, to better track your tasks. A dashboard can be made so you can see the entire procedure in one place.Secondly. With its whiteboard, chat, document, and commenting functions, ClickUp can be used for team communication in addition to project management.Thirdly. The cost is reasonable. If you need to handle your own chores, you can use the free version.

Cons

Sometimes encountered a problem when attempting to create a new list, but was unable to locate any online information about the problem. When expressing my "position" within the software, I use the wrong phrases because I'm unsure of the hierarchy of the sapce/folder/list/task.

ClickUp is the best task manager I've used. In the past I've used Asana, Todoist, and Trello.

ClickUp takes all the best features of these apps and integrates them into one. It's extremely powerful and likely has many features you didn't even know you needed.

Time tracking, priority, status, dashboards, filters, views, documents, linked tasks, etc. . . there are a ton of features here that you'll find useful.

Cons

1) Because there are so many features, clickup can take some getting used to. It took me 2-3 hours of watching videos and playing around with the software to get comfortable, but this investment was worth it in terms of time the software has saved me.

2) There are some small bugs that are annoying to deal with but not deal-breaking. Hopefully the dev team fixes these soon, and I'm sure they will because they seem to be quite active.

The two bugs that were a pain were as follows:
a - dashboard issues. Sometimes dashboards won't pull in new information, or a block would temporarily break. The dashboards on the iOS app are quite unstable as well.

b - slow performance. The pc app is a port of the webapp, but much slower. The webapp is a bit better, but still needs performance improvements. Side Note: Add the webapp to your desktop so that it opens in a separate window → this is essentially a faster version of the PC app.

An excellent workflow/project management tool.

ClickUp addressed our project management issues, assisted our teams in staying on top of projects, assisted our managers in staying on top of individuals and their duties, and provided everyone on our team with visibility into what was going on, who was accountable for what, and how far we had to go to attain the end objective. We replaced the excel file with ClickUp to handle our yearly financial report process; our configuration in ClickUp is comparable to other workflow tools in that we can appoint a preparer, reviewer, and so on using the custom fields. When the status of a task changes, for example, from preparation to review, the automations transfer it to whoever is the reviewer on that job.

Pros

It is an effective project management tool; with the proper setup and structure, it will enable your team to remain on top of all pending tasks and hold each other accountable for all areas of the job. Our team has gained more visibility into our operations and projects thanks to the platform's customizability and automations to promote efficiency. We reduced the need to communicate outside of ClikcUp (for example, via email), which boosted visibility into the status of multiple activities while lowering the need to hunt for communications pertinent to a certain work.

Cons

ClickUp has numerous capabilities, the drawback to usually that it takes a parcel to memorize best hones, how to set up the framework, and how to adjust your business and work fashion to the ClickUp framework. There are a couple of bugs related to automations and repeating errands that we have experienced, be that as it may ClickUp back group have been exceptionally supportive in settling these issues.

Assignments are more overseen and connected presently and it's simple to report and make records, I'm doing tickets more habitually presently and it unraveled the issue of overseeing arbitrary errand records and announcing them, I work on different ventures at once, all moderately comparable to each other but all with diverse due dates and prerequisites and person follow-ups. I would never keep in mind the things I require without ClickUp sparing them for me and making a difference me do my work proficiently, utilizing ClickUp implies liberating up my brain to center on the imperative things and not sitting around idly searching for subtle elements or attempting to keep in mind things, ClickUp illuminated our venture administration issues, it made a difference our groups remain on beat of ventures, it made a difference our directors remain on beat of individuals and their assignments.

Pros

Clickup is a highly quick and responsive application that includes all important functionality such as linking tickets and maintaining links, task with subtask and to-do list, and clear and rapid alerts. I honestly would not survive two minutes at work if ClickUp was not keeping track of all my duties and acting as my brain, remembering what I need to work on, what my deadlines are, where to obtain information, all the minor specific intricacies of each job area, and a thousand other things.

Cons

The disadvantage of ClickUp is that it takes a significant amount of time to understand best practices, how to configure the system, and how to adapt your business and work style to the ClickUp system. My workplace firewall restricts edit ticket sections due to socket connection or I do not know what the issue is, but it has to be addressed in such circumstances, and ticket numbering is rather arbitrary, which might be improved.

It's a love/hate relationship. I love that if fits every weird situation we throw at it.
I hate that every little task and subtask (and there can be hundreds) need to be reviewed or looked at on the daily because something might pop-up that no one is watching and basically we all have to be reminded by almost missing something.

Pros

This is one of the most complete (can you say "complex") project/task management tools I've ever seen. You have every format you can think of and even ones you don't need or know you might need.

Cons

A major flaw with this software is a real "head-scratcher". From what the rest of us can see, ClickUp has a separate "reminder" system. For example, if I have a task to create and submit a document and it's due on the 10th of the month and it's the 1st, I want to be reminded before the 10th because there is work involved. Like every other project/task manager, reminders ahead of the task due date are integrated so one is prepared for the due date.
So, if I don't get notified (we have many, many tasks ongoing) of the aforementioned document until the date it's due, that is a huge problem. ClickUp's solution is overcomplicating the process. Especially with so many diverse tasks throughout all the projects (lists).

Response from ClickUp

Hey, there!

Thank you so much for your review, we appreciate you sharing your experience.

With reminders, you can choose which date you get reminded! Meaning that if you have a Document due on the 10th, you can definitely set a reminder for the 5th or any day you choose before then.

You can find out how to do this and more here: https://docs.clickup.com/en/articles/2039044-reminders

If you need any assistance setting up your reminders or anything at all, please reach out to us via chat or email at [email protected].

I tried many similar tools and I've decided to stick to ClickUp because it's easy to use, has many features and they have a great, very responsive support team.

Pros

It lets me manage almost everything in one place. I use it for different use cases and it works great with some initial configuration.

Cons

I think the dashboard module could be much better.
Let me import and integrate data from other sources, need more design options, including basic ones like titles.

Is a very good option. I came to Clickup as a free alternative from another applicative, but its now my first option :) I can run automations, delegate work, assing statuses and get notified! I dont use the chat and updates section, my team preffers Whatsapp instead!

Pros

A HUGE free version of it! You can manage a small company and process on the free version.

Cons

It dosent have a GOOD communication system with your team. Updates and chat + notifications in not a good option. Sometimes i receive some objections from my team using ClickUp: notifications, refreshing problems, some bugs... They offer a discount for NGOs... I think they have to give some free update plan seats.
